Dr. Javier Tamayo (Project Coordinator), (male) PhD in Physics in 1998. Postdoctoral Marie Curie fellow at the University of Bristol (UK). Since 2001 Research Staff member at the CSIC. He has published related work in Nature Nanotechnology about: i)DNA detection by nanomechanical sensors ii) fundamental nanomechanics of silicon nanowires and disentanglement of mass and stiffness effects, iii) biosensors based on multiparameter detection (News & Views). He has 8 licensed patents under exploitation and has published more than 80 articles in indexed journals, with more than 4600 citations (h-index 36). He is scientific promoter and founder of the spin-off company Mecwins S.A (Grifols group), Sensia S.L. and Nanodreams S.L. and has licensed innovation to company Infinitesima Ltd, all of them devoted to commercializing nanotechnologies. He will be WP5 leader and in charge of modelling and simulation tasks.
