On the 21st of November 2017, VIRUSCAN project partners met the Project Officer, Tsvetanka Kalfin, and external experts appointed by the European Commission in order to review the first year implementation of the project. The meeting started with a brief introduction by Dr. Javier Tamayo regarding the partnership and the major advancements and work carried out during the first 12 months. It was followed by a dedicated presentation of each partner regarding the tasks implemented per each Work Package, the results obtained, the challenges faced and the work foreseen for the next months.

The VIRUSCAN scientific implementation and management were very positively assessed by the Project Officer and the external experts and fruitful and valuable recommendations and suggestions for the exploitation and sustainability of the project were made.
